Spring Designer Shoes

While I was looking through Bergdorf Goodman's website I came across the newest designer shoes for the spring. Spring is around the corner and will be here before we know it so we've got to prepare our wardrobes before we're caught off guard! I don't personally buy very expensive shoes to wear as an "everyday pair" but I do like to pick up a designer pair at least once for spring and one for winter. I took a couple screenshots from the website to show you guys the pairs that I like the most.

GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI

I took a Greek and Roman art history class when I was in college and as soon as I saw this it reminded me of Greek mythology! I love the golden wings on this pair and the heel is gorgeous as well. I would love to buy these, the only thing that I don't like is that this is one of those pairs that people can tell if you've already worn them before; I don't think anyone will mind looking at these beauties twice!!

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

This pair is wild! I love everything about it. The studs have been in for a while, and I love how MANY are on this shoe. It draws so much attention and the heel has a unique curvature. It almost reminds me of a spider-web. Pink will be performing at the Staples Center in October, I think I'll wear these to her concert!

GUCCI

You can never go wrong with Gucci! One of my all-time favorite brands. This shoe speaks for itself. I love the spring hue that it has with the traditional gold accent. I would love to add this pair to my collection.

SAINT LAURENT

This exquisite pair is more reserved but with a kick of flair with the gold feature on the top. I love how chunky the gold strap is because it adds fun to the black shoe but I love that the gold is matte, if it were shiny it would give off a different vibe. I would pair this shoe with a little black dress, the perfect outfit for a charity event or an evening art show.

SAINT LAURENT

This gorgeous pair is a go-to for your evening look. The black straps mid-foot draw attention to the shoes as well as offer more support for women like me who have a hard time with really high heels! Gold is in right now, and it makes this pair really fancy, perfect for dinner in Beverly Hills!

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

This pair is the best color for the spring! The yellow adds a pop of fun to any outfit. I would wear this more for a family barbecue, or a day at the museum or a day full of shopping. I love the yellow, very playful!

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

This shoe is made of python and is absolutely gorgeous. This can look super sexy for a lunch date and can be dressed up with a black top and black leggings to turn it into a night time pair of shoes. This is a kind of shoe that I love because it's the focal point of an outfit, so you don't have to worry too much about what top or pants you choose.

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

This pair of Loubs are made of python as well. However with the color of this pair, it is a lot easier to transition from spring to winter. Whereas with the pink and yellow pair, you find yourself limited to warmer weather. This color is more subdued, so I would pair this with tight jeans and a plain black fitted top with either chunky jewelry or a fancy bright clutch or handbag. Nonetheless, it's always a good day to wear some Louboutins :)

All of these pairs can be bought at www.bergdorfgoodman.com

Divine Design

Even though I've just come back from my vacation from Las Vegas, I already miss it and wish to go back! This is one picture that I forgot to put onto my blog and my Instagram. The title of this blog is Divine Design because while I was in Vegas I got lots of great design ideas for my future apartment that I am so eager to design. It is never too early to get ideas together for how you want your place to look therefore I took lots of pictures of things I want my own little place to look like :) The picture above of the Las Vegas strip is a picture that I took myself. I want to print this picture and put it in a frame to display in my home. I want to surround myself of images of places I have been to or desire to visit someday and this picture will certainly be one of them!

I got to visit the mall along the Las Vegas strip named the Fashion Show mall where fashion shows are done twice a week displaying the latest trends. The stores at this mall include Nordstrom (one of my favorites) Neiman Marcus and the store where I snapped most of my pictures, Z Gallerie. Z Gallerie is a store that has beautiful home furnishings. Below is a picture of a poster frame that I saw at Z Gallerie that I knew was something I had to have. It displays the major areas of the city of Los Angeles. It is important to me because as a Southern Californian, LA is a staple in your upbringing. I have so many beautiful memories of visiting LA with my family and shopping and dining, especially at night, downtown los angeles is almost magical.

The following pictures are ones that I would want for my room's color scheme. I love the darker colors, the dark purples and the silvers make a beautiful combination. The darker colors also have the matching  color scheme for the table plates, chargers, cups etc. I feel when your young, your home's design can be as creative as you'd like it to be and this store is definitely creative! I'm torn between the darker shades or the lighter more vibrant ocean colors, they are both so beautiful!

Which designs are your favorite? Have any other stores like this that I should visit? Thanks for reading!

Love,

Alexa

Las Vegas Trip

Im so happy to be writing from Las Vegas. Its about a 3 hour drive from where I live so I try to visit Vegas as often as possible. I just arrived today and was able to visit the beautiful Aria hotel and casino and take these beautiful pictures. These were taken from inside the shoppes at Crystals in the Aria. There are many high end stores including Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Harry Winston. There was a beautiful display of Bottega Veneta handbags which I found interesting that such high end products were displayed on windmills often found on farms, it was a nice contrast. Also are pictures from a pastry shop inside the Aria. I will post more pictures tomorrow of the beautiful things Vegas has to offer!

Lots of love,

Alexa

World's Best Eyelash Curler

If you are like me, you have probably gone through a number of eyelash curlers hoping to find "the one." I went through this process for over ten years, finding one that worked GREAT, but only for the first month, while others pulled out my lashes, while others left my lashes crimped instead of curled! It was a nightmare. I tried every brand available in every makeup store, or Sephora, I was about to give up hope until I decided to do some homework and truly research what brand of eyelash curlers celebrity makeup artists use. I stumbled upon the name Shu Uemura. I was intrigued, I had never heard of this brand before. The more I researched the more and more celebrities I found that swore by the product and I knew I had to purchase it for myself. I went to http://www.shuuemura-usa.com/ to purchase my own! The cost was not much, about $20 USD. After receiving it and trying it for the first time I knew I would never use any other curler brand ever again, it works absolutely amazing, every time. I wanted to spread the word because sometimes it takes a lot of trial and error and $ before you find a product you truly love, so I hope this helps anyone out there in my same situation. This product is everything you need in an eyelash curler! Let me know what you guys think of it if you own it, or if you recently purchased it I would love to hear your stories as well! My eyelash curler is part of my makeup kit MUST HAVE and took a few pictures of it with my makeup bag that I take with me everywhere! The next post will show the rest of the contents of my Betsey Johnson makeup bag that are part of my daily makeup regimen

Disneyland!!

Hello everyone,

I have been a little side-tracked trying to decide how I wanted to structure my blog, whether I wanted to post things about fashion, then beauty, then health? I was beginning to over-think it all when I decided that this was my blog and I could just post things as they popped in my mind, hope you don't mind!

I just got home from Disneyland a couple of hours ago and after resting on the couch catching up on Grimm on my DVR I worked up the energy to write about how it went today. The trip was great! I am a Disneyland Annual Passholder so I am fortunate enough to visit the park quite often (as time permits). It was freezing cold today but even a little bit of rain wasn't enough to stop me from my Friday night adventure. I was on a mission to finally pick up this Disney Dooney & Bourke purse I have been meaning to purchase, and I finally bought it!!

This beautiful handbag caught my eye from the moment I saw it! It is so comfortable to wear, it also comes with a shoulder strap to carry it over the shoulder for when your hands are occupied holding shopping bags!
This is my first  Dooney & Bourke purse so I am excited to add this Dooney to my collection of handbags. This bag was about $250 for anyone who is interested in buying themselves one and it is available in both Disneyland and California Adventure as well as Downtown Disney. I bought mine at one of the shops on Mainstreet USA inside of Disneyland. I'm excited to continue using it and I will keep you updated on how convenient/easy to wear it is. I was so excited to share the newest addition to my collection :)

I also took a picture of this Jack Skellington tank that was also inside of a shop located on Mainstreet USA inside of Disneyland, I might pick this up next time I visit. What do you guys think?

Since we've started the topic about handbags, my next post will be showcasing the handbags I have and also the ones that are trending! Be sure to comment on anything you would like me to post about or any questions!

Lots of love,

Alexa

Intro

Hello Everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and about the things I will be putting up on my blog.

I'm 25 years old and I reside in beautiful Southern California in Los Angeles county. I decided to create my own blog because everywhere I go people always seem to ask me questions about my makeup, wardrobe and hair color etc. So I thought it would be a lot easier to put up all of my ideas and products that I like and share it with everyone else! I have to give a lot of credit to my older sister who is my mentor and taught me everything I know, from finance questions to lipstick tricks. I also figured there might be a lot of girls out there who don't have older sisters or anyone to help them out when they have questions so, I wanted to be able to pay it forward. With that being said, one of my favorite things to do is talk so if you ever have any questions or want advice about anything, I'll be more than happy to help in any way that I can! :)

I will be posting as often as possible so please check back. My blog topics will be about,...EVERYTHING! From health topics to makeup products, hairstyles, things I buy and stores that I love. I also have an Instagram that I would love for you to please follow @blogbyalexanicole.

My next blog will be about some of the makeup products that are my "essentials". I'll be putting what their use is, what brand, where I got them and in the near future I will put up tutorial videos on Youtube as well.

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Lots of love,

Alexa.
